German Cakes: Taste the Difference

German Cakes is a new In House Bakery that operates under the Texas Cottage Food Law. Our cakes are made after traditional German recipes.

 

Our cakes, breads and cookies are different from the typical american bakery items in many ways.

  • They look different
  • They aren't as sweet (that does not mean they have less calories)
  • We do not use frosting, but instead use glaze

Our Creations

At German Cakes, you'll find a full range of german baked goods, that are all baked within the laws of the Texas Cottage Food Law.

 

The law restricts my baking to coffee-cake types, pound cake types, cookies and breads.

 

The traditional German Torten (biscuit with whipped cream or butter cream filling - as shown in the picture) can not be purchased from us. Should you ever get a chance to try them elsewhere, please do, they are amazingly good.
